International Workshop on

the Impact of Industry 4.0 on Employment, Global Value Chains and Sustainable Development.

Saint Jean d’Angely Campus, Université Côte d’Azur

6-7 June 2019

Industry 4.0 is currently being debated worldwide. The question of the potential impacts on employment, jobs and skills have raised deep concerns at the national, European and international levels. Developing a forward-looking analysis of these changes will be central to the ability of local and national governments to put in place appropriate Science Technology and Innovation (STI) polices for the development and adoption of these new and possibly disruptive technologies. Join us to discuss and debate with an internationally recognized group of researchers the opportunities and challenges accompanying the progressive digitalization of our economy and society.

The workshop will explore :

  1. The impact of automation technologies on jobs and employment
  2. The  impact of industry 4.0 on value chains and logistics
  3. Digital revolution, sustainable development and smart cities
